You will choose the issues you want to vote on. There are many issues to choose from, that effect you. jobs, job training, social security, gov't waste, illegal immigration, identity theft, the environment, economy, national security, the best education for your children, taxes, etc, etc.
But we feel, the one issue that affects you and your family the most at this point in time is
affordable healthcare and prescription drugs, because if you don't have your health nothing else matters.
There are 45+ million Americans with no healthcare. Half of them work but still can't afford it. And another 50-60 million with not enough or it's too expensive. Small businesses can't afford to offer health insurance or it's getting too expensive. Even if you have a good health, and prescription drug plan, what about other members of your family, friends, church members, and the rest of the community, and what if you lose your job. Are you still covered? For how long?
The rich can afford healthcare, the poor get it for free although it's not always the same quality as those who are insured. Many businesses large and small, the working poor, and middle class take the brunt of the cost of healthcare. It's time to balance this out. (the labels I use here show the unequal healthcare system we have)
Did you know your congressmen, and women, get free healthcare? Actually it's not free, you pay for it. If it's good enough for them why isn't it good enough for you?
These are supposed to be the people who represent your best interest. Do they?

It's time for an affordable national healthcare and prescription drug plan for all Americans.
The gov't can't allow the drug companies to charge as much as they want, while stopping you from buying prescription drugs, from the most affordable source, even if it's from another country, in order to live a long and healthy life, without having to choose between eating a healthy meal or taking your medicine. Well maybe not that extreme, but you know what i mean.
The excuse that the drugs aren’t safe coming from Canada, is an insult to the intelligence of the American people, and these new drug cards are to. They're still not as affordable as in Canada. Drug co’s have the freedom to raise prices, you should have the freedom to buy the least expensive drugs.

I believe this is an issue you can unite and vote on to get what you want or don't want.
Are you with me? You should be allowed to buy prescription drugs from Canada, and the gov't should provide a safe way to do it.
I know this may seem one sided, but all the facts, and indicators point in this direction. Check near the bottom of this page in blue for the link for information on a national healthcare plan. You can still vote against this, but wouldn't you feel better knowing that you and your family will never have to worry about healthcare or prescription drug cost regardless of whether your job covers you and your family or not?
Even parts of the gov't say it's time for a national healthcare plan.
Some state gov’ts are setting up a safe site for you to buy prescription drugs from Canada. Common sense tells you, you know a good deal when you see it. We need to make our gov't develop a better prescription drug plan. Not this crazy confusing part d crap you're forced to join in order to get some kind of savings. The solution to this problem is a simple one.
Since our government waste so much of our money, we can have the top 10-20 insurance companies bid on a national contract. The criteria for the bid would be based on quality of service, care, and cost. This is the simplest way to do this since this is what insurance companies do. It would save money for companies, individuals, and families because we could all be under one plan. This would be an opt in plan so those who have a good plan could keep their plan. This plan is for the 60-100 million Americans who have no plan, not enough coverage, or too expensive to afford.
We could also be under a plan that is already in place. That plan is Medicare which is mainly for senior citizens. This plan could be extended for all citizens and paid for by businesses and citizens. The plan would also be optional for those who already have a good plan, and cost effective because of volume buying. Just this alone could make healthcare affordable for all Americans.
